The JPIA-PLM has seven departments working together to uphold the objectives and ideals of the organization. Each is functioning in accordance with the JPIA Constitution to continue its legacy of exceptional excellence.
The Executive Department serves as the head department of the organization. People working under this department are the following: the President, who shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the organization and shall have the duty to supervise its affairs; the Executive Vice President, who shall be the coordinator of all the activities within and outside the university. He shall see to it that all activities of this organization will not be in conflict with the important activities of the other organizations; and the Executive Secretary, who shall keep full and accurate minutes of the organization and of the Executive Board.
The Academics Department is the in-charge to different academic activities of the organization, whose primary objective is to promote academic excellence among its members. The Vice President for Academics and the Chairman for Education and Research are under this department.
The Non-Academics Department assignment is to plan and coordinate the activities for the development of the social, physical, and cultural awareness of the members. The Vice President for Non-Academics together with the Chairman for Community Undertakings, Culture and Sports will be working under this department.
The Communications Department is responsible in promoting the activities of the organization. It is the intent of the department to uphold student competence in spatial and linguistic skills through various contests and seminars. Working under the department are the Vice President for Communications, the Chairman for Arts and Designs and the Editor-in-Chief of the organization’s official publication.
The Finance Department serves as the official custodian of all the funds and supplies of the organization. It is the responsibility of the department to ensure prompt collection of all fees and contributions necessary for the members. The Vice President for Finance and the Chairman for Business and Finance function under this department.
The Membership Department is in-charge to keep a directory of its members, together with their class schedules. It aims to monitor the number of attendees during the different events hosted by the organization and to keep track of the performance and degree of participation of the members for evaluation purposes. The department is headed by the Vice President for Membership.
The Auditing Department is responsible in reporting the audited financial statements directly to the Executive Board. This is an independent department whose primary objective is to maintain fairness and transparency within the organization. It is the Auditor’s duty to devise and implement the guidelines, policies, and controls that may be necessary for the organization.
